Sports Power Infrastructure, in alignment with New Jersey’s 2026 World Cup community activation efforts, is offering an on‑the‑job coach training opportunity for New Jersey residents, supported by a paid stipend. This hands‑on training experience prepares emerging leaders, young adults, and community members for future roles in youth sports, workforce development, and infrastructure‑aligned career pathways.

Participants will gain real‑time field experience supporting athletic development and career readiness programming for students in Grades 5 through 12. Trainees will work alongside certified evaluators and program staff to learn the fundamentals of coaching, youth engagement, and event operations within a high‑impact community environment.


Training Schedule — Saturday, June 20, 2026

  • 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM — Arrival, Orientation & Set‑Up
  • 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM — On‑the‑Job Coach Training & Field Experience
  • 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM — Close‑Out, Debrief & Workforce Pathways Overview

Attire Requirements

To maintain a unified and professional training environment, all participants must arrive wearing:

  • Black sneakers
  • Black shorts

Each trainee will receive an Athletes Make The Best™ T‑shirt, which must be worn during the training session.


What Participants Will Learn

Trainees will gain hands‑on experience in:

  • Speed, strength, and agility station support
  • Youth engagement and safety protocols
  • Education & Career Readiness Assessment facilitation
  • Delivery of the verified Sports Power Rating
  • Event operations, teamwork, and leadership fundamentals

The Sports Power Rating is a portable record used by schools, employers, and workforce partners to highlight both athletic potential and career readiness indicators.


Professional Development Feature

As part of the Athletes Make The Best Conversations™ series, all accepted applicants will have the opportunity to record a brief professional interview highlighting their aspirations, goals, and career interests. These recordings are designed to support participants’ future opportunities and help elevate their personal brand within the Athletes Make The Best™ ecosystem.


Eligibility & Requirements

This stipend‑supported training opportunity is open to New Jersey residents ages sixteen and older who are interested in:

  • Coaching
  • Youth development
  • Sports leadership
  • Workforce pathways in infrastructure, energy, construction, manufacturing, tourism, or healthcare

To participate, individuals must:

  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Sign a video and photo release
  • Commit to the full training schedule
