Blake joined Vineyard Offshore as New York's Labor Relations Manager in February 2024, bringing nearly two decades of experience in local government and community organizing to the role. Based in New York City, he previously served Suffolk County government on Long Island as Deputy Commissioner of Labor and Assistant Deputy County Executive.

Most recently, Blake led the creation of the Brentwood Center, a workforce training and community resource hub focused on career awareness in offshore wind and advanced manufacturing. The Center aims to provide high school students and working families in Suffolk County with industry-specific training opportunities. It will also house the National Offshore Wind Training Center, offering Global Wind Organization safety certifications for workers entering the field.

In addition to his civilian work, Blake has been an Engineer Officer in the New York Army National Guard since 2016. He holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School, with an emphasis on economic and workforce development policy, and a Sociology degree from Brandeis University.

Outside of his professional commitments, Blake is an avid outdoorsman. He spends his free time exploring the wilderness with his family and his dog, Red, and pursues rock climbing in the Gunks and the Adirondacks. When conditions allow, he takes to the slopes for skiing.
