The SPIN Foundation is the Athletes Make The Best community benefit partner and 501(c)(3) grantor. Its Scholarship and Community Grant Fund supports local organizations.

Selection Council: 

The Athletes Make The Best Authors Selection Council reviews and selects the athlete authors featured in our series. The council evaluates each submission for writing quality, story strength, audience fit, and community impact. Members include editors, sports leaders, literacy advocates, former athletes, and SPIN Foundation representatives. Their combined expertise keeps decisions balanced and credible. The council meets twice a month to review applications and confirm the authors for each event and virtual showcase.
